| This is a commissioned artwork that came about from me getting the word out and exposing my artwork to people. I was at the "Summer Solstice" event in my hometown where artists were allowed to set up in the main parking lot and show their work. About an hour or so into the day a lady asked me if I did pet portraits and I said yes. She went into her purse and showed me the perfect picture of her cat. I told her I would love to paint her (the cat) and the rest is history. Not too often do you get a great photo to work from like this. I'm happy that I was able to capture the likeness and the overall feeling of the photo for this customer. |
