BUSY BEAVER
Yes, Pat's been a busy beaver in the studio since the last newsletter. How busy?
Not one, not two, but three new paintings for you to see. I've completed
"Summer Glory 3", "Summer Glory 4", and "Pine Trail to take to my
show that is less then three weeks away. The two new "Summer Glory"
paintings finish the series and "Pine Trail" is a painting that depicts
the kind of scenery that I get to see on trails in Raccoon State Park.
You can see photos of all three paintings by clicking on the links below.

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
This past weekend I had a display at the Greenstones Churches Strawberry Festival
where they have arts and crafts downstairsI got some nice feedback and people
did gobble up my business cards. I got to see some people I meet there last year
and the kitchen crew had too much salad that they didn't want to go bad so I
came home with the worlds largest bag of Dole salad. Safe to say,
Pat's going to have his vegetables for many a day to come!

WHAT I'M WORKING ON NOW
Right now in the studio I'm working on "Rachael Carson Footbridge". The good news
is that I'm more than likely to finish it in time for the show but the bad news is that I
might finish it too late for it to be dry in time for the show. The really good news
however is that I still will have twenty paintings there regardless
so I hope to see as many of you as possible opening night.

WRAPPING IT UP
With less than three weeks to opening night I'm happy to say that all is looking good
and in order. I mostly have to frame and have ordered a good bit of them from a
new suppler and I'm expecting them in the mail any day. The food and wine are
covered as well as the marketing (thanks Sue!) so I'm going to try to finish
"Rachael Carson Footbridge" to the best of my ability without rushing it and
compromising the quality. I'll be putting out one last newsletter before opening night
mostly to give people directions to Matthew's Arts and what to expect there.
I hope if you can't make it opening night that you get up there during the month
to see the work in person so with that take care and I"ll see you again soon!
