It was forty years ago today when I came onto the world. I've heard so much from so many people about turning forty and what happens to your body and I'm happy to say, so far so good. I'm in really good health and feel much like I did in my mid-twentys. I can thank my many years of hiking and my day job for that. My family had a nice party for me this Saturday where it was warm enough here in Pittsburgh to be outside and throw some horseshoes in my sisters backyard. The "roasting" did start after we all went inside but I laughed along with everyone else.
Before the party, I ran my errands and got them out of the way and ran into a couple of people that got to see my display in the window and shared with me how much they liked it. It gave me a nice perspective to carry throughout the weekend. I was able to take oil paintings lessons here in my small town and decide to work at it and now here I am exhibiting my work just doors up from where that "mom and pop" store used to be. I'd rather focus on the good things I've been blessed with then the economy which is something I don't have any control over.
My advise to all the twenty somethings today. Number one, count your blessings and be grateful for what you have. Number two, stay active and your body doesn't have time to slip away from you. Number three, everything in moderation meaning that you don't drink to get drunk every night and if you eat a big fattening meal have a nice salad later. You have to create a balance in your life and I still have a ways to go to get mine right. That's all for today, I have more pondering to do so as always take care and have a great day!
