Today at 11:00, Sue Matthews and I were going to install my window display. Unfortunately her drier broke and could only be looked at today so we're going to do it tomorrow at 11:00 instead. We will still have to work around the weather but I'm sure we will find a way. I have a small car (great when gas was $4.00) so I'll have to bring my paintings down in two trips but no more than three.
Being on vacation from my day job is working for me well. I'm relaxing but taking care of some things that I just never get to when I'm at work. I was able to put pen to paper and write down my "artists statement" and my biography both of which you'll see in my display. Look for them to be on my website in the coming days as well. I want to take some photos of myself for my marketing but the weather may delay that, we'll see.
Right now in the studio I'm wrapping up "Bellevue Avenue" to post on my site as my first painting for the new year. From there I plan on doing a pet portrait of one of my cats. Getting a good photo with a digital camera is a lot easier then having only 24 shots and having to wait for them to be developed to see if you got a keeper. I'll keep you posted, take care and have a great day!
