As you may recall, I recently made a post on how Winter Can Be A Challenge for me as far as getting my framing done for my paintings. I'm happy to say thanks to a nice snow free Sunday in the "fiftys". I was able to get the frame for my "Christmas Commission" done. I was able to give it several coats of dark blue paint that will match the painting well.
As far as the painting itself, I'm right on track to deliver it to the collector next week I'm just working my way down the painting doing all my final details. I work this way so that I can rest my hand on a dry area of the painting.
I'm going to talk with the collector who is one of my co-workers at my day job if I can bring it in on our Christmas party. We have people coming from our other store and I would love to get a chance to show them my artwork.
Who knows, maybe someone else will want a commission. As an artist you learn to make the most of your opportunitys. speaking of which, I did get a chance to talk to Sue the owner of Matthew's Art Center and it looks like I'll be in the window on Lincoln Ave. by the second week of January. as she is very busy with everything she is involved with. she said I could have whatever promotional materials I want so look out! It should be something very nice and I'm really excited about it. All I need to do is find one of those business card holders that you mount on the outside of the window and I'll be set. That's all for now, take care and I'll see you again on Friday.
