I'm back! yes, I'm back from vacation and ready to start my second year of blogging. It was nice to take a week off from my day job and focus more on what I'm doing with my artwork.
Speaking of my art, be sure to see my latest painting
"Valentino Rossi" if you haven't already. This is by far the most detailed painting that I have ever done and I'm looking forward to do one again in the future. This week sometime it will be packaged up and sent to it's new home in Florida.
While I was on vacation I did some work in the studio and reorganized some things. I feel that you work better in a cleaner more organized environment. I took care of some needed updates on my computer as well. Take my word for it , a nice error free, defragmented computer makes your life so much easier.
The thing that I didn't get to on my vacation was to do some trail hiking. The weather wouldn't allow it this week as there were thunderstorms called for everyday, so I didn't want to risk getting caught in one.
Having said that, I just remembered a funny summer story from a few years back involving weather just like this. One year I got a pool pas at our local pool to swim laps after work. The first day that I showed up, thunder was heard and the lifeguard got everyone out of the pool just as I was ready to jump in. Guess what happened the very next day?, and the next, and the next, and finally I got to the point were I was driving 100 miles an hour into the parking lot, running through the locker room and just trying to dive in clothes and all. Not really that bad but you get the idea of how frustrated I was. I did get to swim after the weather pattern finally broke up. I laugh now at how it felt like the rain clouds just followed my car after work to the pool. I thought you would get a kick out of that.
Thats it for today, it's nice again to get into the flow of things and share a story with you as well. Feel free as always to leave your thoughts and comments, take care!
