Tonight is the last of my favorite blog posts that I wanted to share with you this week. I'm going to wrap up my one year of blogging celebration with one of my early posts from last July. I didn't have anything on mind that day until I turned to look at my digital camera, and my post was born! Here it is again on how the digital camera made things easy for me.
"I was going over in my head what I wanted to post in my blog today when it hit me. I looked over to the right and saw my memory card for my camera. Wow!, what a far cry from the old days, I stick this in the computer and there they are. I can edit them, resize them, filter them, and then print them myself. Ten years ago I had to be fussy about what photos I was going to take, after all I only have 24 shots. From there it was off to get them developed hoping that they came out good. Now I can take 96 shots, come home and use, edit, and print what I need including copies if need be. I can only imagine what that would cost me if it were 96 photos on film. The internet for artists is based on the JPEG from a digital camera. I believe that the arts community on the web wouldn't have happened without the ablity for photos to be created and used right away. Please don't get me wrong if you are going to take slides, film is still king with the right lights and setup. Let me hear from you, what has the digital camera done for you and/or how film still works today for you."
Thats it for today and for my look back as well. I can't wait to see where the blog and my art are a year from now. Take care and have a great weekend!
