SEEING RESULTS

As many of you know by now, I recently made some changes in my life and it looks like they are paying off.
I moved my "required" painting time to the morning before going to work, and my business efforts to the evening. I did this along with some diet changes to make it easier to produce my artwork and to keep my energy level as high as possible. I work a very stressful day job and I needed to do something to avoid becoming a couch potato upon arriving home from work.
I found that painting before work "conditions" me for what my major goal is, and that is to do my artwork full time. When that happens I would start the day by painting for 8 hours anyway so if you have a chance to "taste your dream" even a little bit, I say go for it.
Another thing I'm starting to do so to put pen to paper on my lunch breaks so that I have my blog posts ready to go when I get home. This is great because I can quickly get my posts entered on my website, answer my e-mail, and still have time to paint some more in the evenings. Things will really start going in the next few weeks when I complete my mural commission and have every weekend to work with. I'm still a work in progress and I still can improve my discipline some more and when that happens I'll be posting new framed oil paintings on a regular basis. My goal is to get up to the point where regardless of whats going on at work or my life, and no matter what I'm doing as far as commissions that I post a least one new framed oil painting a month.
Thats all that I have to tell you about today. Drop my a line if you have something to say as always and enjoy your weekend. I'll see you again Monday evening.

I know the feeling. Mornings are the time that I do my painting. I also have a stressful job and have to make allowances as well time for my painting. Sometimes it seems as though it gets harder to keep things on a level field. Take care just wanted to say "I know the feeling."
