Today I want to thank all of those that have given me positive feedback on the newsletter. I launched it a couple of months ago, number one, to give people a way to see what I'm doing with my art without having to follow the blog. Number two, to share interesting art and sometimes funny stories about art from around the world. Number three, to structure it in a way that was easy to read, (none of that scrolling to the right stuff! I hate that!) and so that the reader could make their "read" as short or as long as they wanted by the amount of links that they clicked on to. If you want to see what I'm doing in the studio and get a quick laugh, read "What I'm Working On Now" and click on to the "Wacky Links". If you are an art student and/or a serious art collector you can click on all the links such as the blog where you can easily go through my blog archives and get some great art information.
I'm glad that I shared with you that I do in fact work a day job for the simple reason that I knew my presentation on my website was professional but that I wasn't producing enough new artwork to be considered such. I realized that I may have taken the "be as professional as you can at all times" thing to far in that regard. The funny thing is how God works in mysterious ways in the fact that I do rank high on search engines, (thank you Clint!) I have link exchange requests from webmasters who say that my site would be of great interest to their visitors, and I have some "clout" online in the very competitive "artist websites" category. In other words, I'd like to think that people can see that I'm serious about my art so that you can trust that I will come through for you with your own ready to hang painting or one from my own body of work.
Thats all for now, let me know if you have gone through something such as this or anything else art related, and I'll see you on Wednesday, take care!
