As you may know, last week I decided to switch my routine around. I decided to paint before going to work and taking care of my blogging and other computer work when I get home in the evening. So far it feels good, I start the day off right by playing to my strengths and not my weaknesses.
I want to create when I wake up in the morning and now I do. When I'm at work I have my "business mindset" going so it's easier to do my business efforts when I come home. The great thing is that I can still paint some more in the evening if I choose to.
This will lead to me getting more artwork done and not rushing around as much at home. The other thing that I'm noticing is that I have the painting that I worked on in the morning on my mind while at work. Thats much better then giving my mind a chance to stress me out. My mind has better things to think about.
Now I just need to get my cleaning routine adjusted to match the change in my "art" routine and then as my Grandma would say "now you're really cooking with gas!" Speaking of gas (bad pun) I'm slowly improving my diet so I'm really excited about how things are going to turn out in the next few months. The major plan is to make my ability to stand the stresses of my day job improve to the point that it no longer spills over into my art and personal life and causing stress there.
Thats it for now, are you juggling a day job while doing your artwork in a professional manner? Do you want to do it full time as well? Leave a comment and let me know. I'll see you again on Wednesday.
