LOVE THE NEW BRUSHES !

Today I decided to share with you how much my new synthetic brushes are working out for me. At the beginning of the year I wanted to see what I could do with non-bristle brushes and found a nice line of them at my local art store. They are made by "Darice" and are very affordable.
I love how the paint flows from it, almost like watercolor if the paint is thin enough. The edges stay nice and crisp and they clean up very well. If you are an oil painter and have wanted to try a synthetic brush assortment, I don't think you can go wrong with these.
Just like my bristle brushes, I bought several brushes of the same size. This allows you to have a different color each on its own brush so you don't have to keep cleaning one brush to change colors! This is when painting becomes very enjoyable because you can focus on shaping the object that you're painting instead of looking down to clean your brush off. If your yellow line has an area on the edge that went into the red, you can take the same size brush with the red and go right up and take care of it to give you an example.
These brushes are working wonders for me on my commission that I'm doing now. The #1 rounds are great for the crisp edges and lettering, as well as the small shapes. I still love my bristles, don't get me wrong as they will still be used to lay in the foundation for the painting as they have the stiffness to push the paint into the bear canvas, but I'm hooked on using the new ones for "bringing the painting home" and finishing it.
That's all for now, free feel to leave a post and enjoy the weekend. I'll see you again Monday evening.
