Last week I talked about how I finally decided to get involved with Facebook and "social networking as a whole. I mentioned that things weren't going good at the start but after a couple of days I started getting the hang of it. I'm happy to say that I'm now getting regular Facebook e-mails in my inbox. I'm getting confirmed friend requests as well as some nice unexpected messages.
I guess I had a bunch of negativity towards the idea of social networking but I'm glad that it looks like a was wrong. This fuels my desire to get involved with Twitter and Myspace, but only after Facebook is second nature to me. I still have a good bit to learn and figure out but I'm getting there. I'll give you an example, I posted photos of some of my landscapes in an album I called "landscapes" (brilliant huh!) but I noticed that they didn't appear on my page under photos. I noticed that I had photo albums from my friends with their nice photos under the "photo" heading. I'm assuming that what you put on your page doesn't actually post on your page, it simply gets "broadcasted" to your friends network. This would explain why I don't see on my page my favorite music, movies, T.V. shows and so forth that I entered and the neat little icons as well.
If I'm wrong about that, please leave your comments and let me know. Another thing, if that is the case is there a way to see what your page looks like to other people? If anyone knows please drop me a line to let me know.
On the painting side of things I'm still working on my artwork for my show in July and making sure that I got all my bases covered and haven't forgotten anything. I'll be meeting with Sue Matthews soon to help out in that regard.
That will do it for today so again if you are a Facebook "guru" I'd love to hear from you so as always, take care and have a great day!
