For the past two mornings I have been working on my Facebook page that I started the other day and regretfully haven't gotten that far. I was able to get a photo of myself on the page without any problems. I was able to get some personal information on just fine also, but it's been all downhill ever since.
I wish I would have noticed the "business page" option right off the bat, but I didn't so I now have a personal page as well as a business page. All is not lost if I can figure out a way to link the two together. The thing that is the most frustrating is that I've had problems uploading photos of my framed oil paintings. This morning I was close but yet so far away.
I have taken the pages down for the time being while I yield to the wisdom of the Facebook tutorials that are online. I'm just going to take it slow and come up with a way that works for me.
While I'm on the subject of Facebook, have any of you ever gone to one of those websites where you can customize the background? I'm warning you now, if you ever do get ready for the mother of all pop-up ads! It nearly covers the whole original page. That got my attention right away as I closed it as fast as possible because to me it was screaming spyware. I realized that I was putting the cart before the horse anyway as I should get the page right first and then maybe make it nice and pretty for everyone.
I plan on getting involved with Myspace and Twitter in the future and hope that a successful Facebook page makes those two easier to do. I'm new to the "social interaction" thing so maybe by that time it will be old hat. That's it for today and before I close, if anybody has any help or tips for me I would love to hear them. Take care, and have a great day!
