This weekend I was able to make some changes to my blog. The first thing you will notice is that you can now directly click on to any of my four artwork collections without having to go all the way down to the bottom of the page. The second thing is that just excerpts of my articles are displayed. This helps me keep down the length of the page a good bit. When you do click on a post, you get the whole article along with links to my artwork collections at the bottom.
I think that I was online about seventy percent of the time this weekend or it just felt like it. I still have a dial up connection (stop laughing!) so things take some time to do. My goal was to make my blog page perform as well as my homepage when it comes to the search engines. I like what I was able to do but still have some work to do. I want to spend some time looking at other art blogs to get some fresh ideas and to do just that, keep it fresh. One thing that I know I don't want is clutter. I've been on some blogs (not just art) that have so much text, and colors, and flashing stuff that you can't even distinguish between the posts and the rest of the page!
The next change you will notice soon is my homepage. Nothing drastic but changes none the less. One of the things will be a photo of myself at work on a painting. The other thing will be more links and a better description of the kind of art that I do. That's it for today so take care and have a great day!
