Like most artists, I try to stay aware of the latest "people" who try to scam us. Today thanks to "The Art News Blog" I have the latest "person" to share with you. Nicole Danes is currently targeting artists with the following e-mail.

The dead giveaways as always are, bad English, not being concerned with the exact price of the artwork, and wanting to use a cashiers check. As a further service to everyone I am going to leave you with a list of well known "people" (again thanks to"The Art News Blog"), that have been known to try to scam artists.
I hope this will help spread the word to the art community and help prevent any of my fellow artists from getting ripped off by these "people". Take care and have a great day!

I would love some surprise inclusions of furniture in our home on our return.Please do withdraw the advert from craigslist as I wouldn't mind adding $50 for you to do that, so I can be assured that the furniture item is held for me. I have no doubt that it is in good condition as stated in the ad. I will be making the payment via a Certified Check, which my secretary will mail across to you.I'll be picking the item from you with the aid of a mover. My Mover will be coming to pick it from you once the Certified Check has been cashed.
