My display that I've been talking about for some time now has come to an end. It was so nice to see my art fill up both windows and to see it look great even when driving by at night. I want to thank all the people that gave me positive feedback over the last three months, I'm glad that a lot of people got to see it.
Right now I'm in the process of talking to Renee Tokar, the owner of "The Muddy Cup" coffee shop on Lincoln Avenue. It looks like if all goes well I'll be displayed there in May. I'll keep you updated on how it goes and when the work gets displayed. I'm going to see if I can get something going at our other Bellevue coffee shop "Affgatos", but I see bookcases and books on their walls now so I don't know if they still display artwork.
I have my gameplan as you can see and I'm enjoying talking to these local merchants regardless. I'll see how it goes along the way and learn from each one. My goal is to show my hometown that I am your affordable option to have that painting done of something special to you, framed and ready to hang.
When I'm not marketing the art I'm still in the studio painting. I'm on my pet portrait and it's looking good so far. Some nights I don't get to it as we are in a turnaround situation at my day job and I come home pretty "spent" but I don't let that get me down. I learned that slamming tea works great for getting paintings done but not so good for getting sleep later that night. Live and learn I guess, I'll see you again soon.
